The State of the Municipality Address

Last September 7, 2024, the State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) was held at the Taytay Sports Complex.

Here are some of the key highlights of the said address:


  • 2139 New Businesses: Leading to a significant increase in tax revenues.

  •  2nd Place in Most Competitive Municipality: Taytay shines as thee 2nd most competitive municipality (1st & 2nd class) in the Philippines.

  •  Enhanced Healthcare: Introduction of STD and drug testing hubs, a new Rolling Botika, and partnerships with dialysis centers.

  •  Illumination of Main Roads: Upgrades on Manila East Road, Ortigas Avenue Extension, Hi-way 2000, Barkadahan Bridge, and more.

  •  New Cemetery and Park Improvements: Upgrades to the new cemetery and Kalayaan Park.

  •  Continuous River Dredging: Ongoing efforts to clean and maintain our waterways.

  •  45,000 School Supplies Distributed: Bags and uniforms for Day Care, Pre-School, and Grades 1-6 students.

  •  Market Enhancements: Improvements to both the old and new public markets.

  •  New Command Center: Featuring an upgraded CCTV system.

  •  Smile Konek: Free Wi-Fi across Taytay.

  • Gawad Kalasag Award: Taytay Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office recognized for excellence.

  •  Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG): Regional division passed with flying colors.



Aside from the abovementioned accomplishments, here are the future plans by Mayor Allan De Leon, MPA:


  • New Government Center: Featuring a Super Health Center with Php 20.5 million in funding from the Department of Health (DOH).

  •  Smile Taytay Learning Institute: A new educational initiative.

  •  New Bowling Center: Opening this coming December on the 3rd floor of the New Taytay Public Market.

  •  Street Improvements: Roofing/covering of two adjacent streets of the Old Public Market.

  •  Cash Gifts for Seniors: House-to-house distribution planned.


Taytayeño graduates with Latin Honors and those who passed board exams were also recognized during the event.

To cap off the day, we enjoyed an amazing concert featuring Duncan Ramos of South Border, I Belong To The Zoo and other fantastic performers!


Mayor Allan De Leon, MPA is dedicated to serving Taytayeños with all his heart, bringing smiles and progress to our community.
