Different Churches to Resume Religious Gatherings On A 10% Seating Capacity
Catholic Churches will reopen their doors to the faithful beginning on Saturday after the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) eased the restrictions on religious gatherings in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ), based on an article on Philstar.com.
10 Percent(10%) seating capacity will be allowed inside the church to maintain social distancing of mass goers and to avoid the spread of corona virus. Health protocols include strict compliance with the minimum health and safety requirements which includes the mandatory wearing of face masks.
Pasig City Bishop Hubert Vergara says that pregnant women, those with health problems as well as those below 21 years old and above 60 are still not allowed to attend religious gatherings, urging them to watch virtual masses which will be posted on the Facebook accounts of the different dioceses.
